When you are older in years and you find that you are lonely, you shouldn’t be worried about whether or not you will find someone to keep you company, but, instead, make yourself into what you would like to find as a dating senior.
Often, we have high hopes of what our dates should do to attract us, but we don’t go through those same steps to be attractive to the opposite sex. It’s not difficult to become a suave gentleman, or a love – savvy lady. You can start today to find that perfect someone to spend the rest of your life with!
Because everything we do is so heavily influenced by what we see, you will want to make sure that you appear at your best at all times. Take a few extra minutes to make sure your hair looks it’s best. If you are going to be in public, make sure to put on makeup. If you have some spare cash, spend it on a trendy new outfit or two. If you don’t have the money to spend on clothes, you can still make sure that your clothes are clean, and that they match. But, most important, be sure you smile at people. This may take practice if you aren’t used to it, but you will be known around town as the “dating senior.”
Another good piece of advice for the dating senior is to get involved. No one wants to spend time with someone that isn’t doing something interesting. If the highlight of your day is prime time television, get off the couch and do something fun. Take up a new hobby, learn to play an instrument or go outside and start gardening. You don’t have to be good at what you do, just find something you enjoy and that you can share with others. If your particular hobby is taught in a group setting, make sure you are able to attend, as this will give you good practice interacting with others. You may even meet your next date in that class!
After everything is said and done, the best advice for the dating senior is too keep your eyes open and try to enjoy life even while you are single. If you are constantly thinking that life is passing you by because you don’t have someone to share it with, then one day, you’ll realize that it really has passed you by.
